Experience   LinkStl

LinkStL is a 501c3 non-profit organization formed in 2015 to build capacity in the Hyde Park Neighborhood in North St. Louis City. LinkStL works to connect neighbors to one another and to the neighborhood through collaboration, advocacy, engagement, and fun! We are continuously working to better align our mission to fit the needs of the community that we serve. Grants and partnerships support LinkStL programs and have an active, nine-member Board comprised of Hyde Park residents, professionals, and community leaders.

Our    Mission

LinkStL works to connect the neighbor(s) (resident, individual, and family) to the neighborhood. Through collaboration, advocacy, and engagement, Links will work to connect a “village” of support around individuals and families desiring opportunities for a better tomorrow.

OUR VISION

It is our Vision to link fabrics of St. Louis City together which are essential to neighbors who want to own their community as a place they live, learn, work and play. As a community development organization we believe in holistic, place- based approach, thus LinkStL's effort will be initiated in the Hyde Park Neighborhood.

Our Slogan

“Linking People to Possibilities”

“Where there is a Link- There is a Possibility”

our goals

  • End the isolation of individuals in disinvested neighborhoods
    •  Through collaborative efforts of neighbors, private sector-lenders, property owners, developers, businesses, service providers, educational institutions, local government and foundations, we will move the neighborhood toward a better tomorrow.

  • Knit together the existing support systems into a more effective delivery system to residents.

  • Foster initial support from existing community leaders and networks.

    • Through advocacy, inclusion and ongoing engagement, Links will inform neighbors of Hyde Park’s existing assets, in addition to, helping neighbors garnish community support to make informed decisions.

  • Identify the true needs of the individuals that make up the community through one-on-one interviews and ongoing conversations.

    • Through engagement Links will uplift the neighbor’s (residents’) voices, concerns, and ideas to include them in the leadership of building a community.

  • Encourage the addition of new support systems where there are gaps in assistance to meet existing needs.
